All our tree surgeons have been trained and qualified to a high level and many of our staff have been with us for years. We are very proud of all our staff; we would like you to meet them below:
Peter Goddard
Managing Director
Peter started Out There Trees in 2003 after qualifying at Merrist Wood with an NPTC and a City and Guilds Certificate in Tree Surgery. He carries out most of our site visits and quotations and is the main contact for our customers.
Tim Bracken
Director & Manager
Tim qualified as a tree surgeon at Merrist Wood in 2001 and joined Out There Trees in 2010. He fast became an integral role in the business. Tim deftly manages our teams whilst still very much hands-on himself.
Colin Heath
Manager
A trained climber, Colin is great at whatever he turns his hand to! He is often our clients’ main contact on site and is great at managing the team and chatting things through with our customers.
Jason Nelson
Site Supervisor
Jason started out as a landscaper (he worked for Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber at his estate!) before moving into the world of tree surgery. He has been with us since 2018.
Jim Bainbridge
Site Supervisor
Jim has worked as an arborist for 20 years since first training on the job and has worked for some of the UK’s larger firms as well as more local businesses like ours. He started working with Out There Trees in 2017.
Toby Bunce
Senior Climber
A vastly experienced climber Toby trained in forestry at Sparsholt College and at The Royal Agricultural College in climbing. He has worked for some of the country’s largest Arb firms before joining us in 2017.
Max Hillier
Senior Climber
Max trained at Merrist Wood in 2011 and joined us in 2020 following a career dealing with London’s huge plane trees.
Joe Maybey
Climber
In addition to being a great climber Joe is also a
semi-professional rugby player, playing for England and Czech Republic. We are very happy to have him on the team!
Augusts Dakteris
Climber
Many people find climbing a challenging aspect of tree surgery. Not Augusts. In addition to his experience in the arb industry his background as a circus performer makes him a natural at manoeuvring around trees and hedges.
Charlie Marchment-Nelson
Groundsman
Charlie joined us following a total career change – he’s a trained chef! He is now an integral part of the team and is a real whizz at hedge trimming.
Harvey Forsey
Groundsman
Harvey is quickly gaining arb experience and is a hard working asset to the team.
Ciaran Galvin
Groundsman
Ciaran brings his experience in many aspects of council maintenance to Out There Trees as a hard working groundsman.
Tom Caudwell
Climber
Tom has years of experience in the tree industry. Tom has training and knowledge in all aspects of tree surgery and site management. He delivers the very highest level of professionalism for Out There Trees.
Adam Bellman
Groundsman
Adam brings a wealth of landscaping experience and is quickly gaining arb experience as a hard working asset to the team.
Steve Sellers
Marketing Manager
Steve originally hails from Texas by way of Japan! His background is in IT but he can pretty much turn his hand to most things really! With us since 2017, he splits his time between the office and out on site.
Bruce Walsh
Mechanic
Bruce is our mechanic and general ‘machine genius’. If Bruce can’t fix it, we need a new one!
Tom Moore
Mechanic
The other half of our ‘Super-Mechanics Team’ who keep us up and running. Tom knows our machines inside and out (very well!) and has proved totally indispensable!
Celia Goddard
Director & Office Manager
Celia studied Arboricultural Science at Merrist Wood and is often the first point of contact for our customers. You may see her on site if you require a report or survey.
Jane Clarke
Finance Administrator
Originally from a farming background (she milked cows!), Jane is also a dab hand at accounts and bookkeeping and joined us early 2021.
Linda Griffin
Office Administrator
Linda is one of the voices you will hear on the end of the phone if you call. Super organised and friendly, also known as ‘Joe’s Mum’ (see ‘Àgi and Joe’).

Office Dogs
Ági and Joe are our resident office dogs. They can often be seen ‘helping’ in the office and ‘guarding’ the yard!
